Course: Clothes making for Beginners: pyjama trouser.

Time: 10 am - 12 noon

Skills that we are covering will be:
- How to follow a commercial paper pattern, learning about the pattern markings and what they mean.
- Following a plan and cutting out your fabric correctly.
- Measuring yourself and selecting the correct size.
- Understanding dressmaking terminology.
- Suitable seam finishes for different fabrics.
- How to sew hems, seams and pockets.
- How to use elastic and sew an elastic waist band.
- Tweaking fitting issues.
- All teaching is done through demonstrations in bite-size chunks, making the whole process easy to follow and understand.

I did the beginners dressmaking course. I learnt lots of really useful tips that would be useful for sewing any kind of garment, to make it look more professional and less homemade. It's a lovely cozy environment, fun and great creative therapy in a little bubble away from the stresses of day to day life. Highly recommended.
